FISHING CAMP (12-14 YEARS OLD)
Fishing Camp will be a blend of science and outdoor recreation as campers participate in activities such as fly tying, fly casting, fish identification, water quality testing, stewardship projects, and of course time on the water fishing in our local waterways. This is an all-inclusive outdoor experience, with all gear, food, transportation, and supplies provided designed to meet youth 12 - 14 years old or entering 6 - 8 grade in fall 2023.
Capacity is limited to 8 campers and is offered either Monday - Friday, July 3 - 14 or August 7 - 18, from 9:00am - 4:00pm. Applications must be submitted by 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. The final section of this form, the camper essay, is intended to be completed by the camper who would be attending Fishing Camp.
At NSEA we believe everyone should have the opportunity for outdoor exploration and learning. We encourage participants, with need, to apply. Participants who qualify for the Free and Reduced Price School Meals program, WIC, SNAP, a low-income health plan, or who are in foster care, or those families with extenuating circumstances (e.g. single guardian, chronic health care costs, job loss, etc.) will be prioritized given that we have limited funds. When registering, you may request any amount of assistance up to 100% of the cost of the program.
